James Suckling: "Rich fruit with dark plums, cherries, white pepper and spices. Medium- to full-bodied with some lightly chewy tannins and a tight-grained finish. Not quite dense, but there is enough richness, structure and intensity. Good length. 94% merlot and 6% cabernet franc."

Jane Anson: "Soft ruby red colour, crushed raspberry fruits, a little subdued compared to recent vintages, expect crunchy and pared back fruit character, but the acidity is well balanced, 21hl/h yield, 3.6ph, Fabien Teitgen technical director."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, tiefer Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Kräuterwürze, schwarze Beeren, ein Hauch von Lakritze, tabakige Nuancen. Mittlere Komplexität, Brombeeren, frischer Säurebogen, blättrige Würze im Abgang, ein frischer Speisenbegleiter."
