DECANTER: "Sweet black fruit with mouth-filling tannins as well as cool acidity. A combination of blueberries and cherries with liquorice, mint, wet stone and graphite elements. It’s soft and creamy with a touch of spiced bite to the finish. A little lean and straight, it stays in the centre of the palate, but nothing overdone here, still with some underlying power and persistence. Dark and serious but well made with focus. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Smoked black cherries, loamy earth, chocolate, and leafy herbs all give this an almost Pomerol-like feel. It's nicely textured, medium-bodied, has a plump, rounded mouthfeel, and ripe tannins. It's solid in the vintage, and I'd be surprised if this didn't end up being a rock-solid, outstanding Saint-Émilion."
