A touch of austerity, clear floral character here, iris, peony, chamomile tea, redcurrant, gunsmoke, a curl of grilled sage, this unfurls through the palate with grip on the finish, tension, chalk texture. THE WINE ADVOCATE: "A blend of 80% Cabernet Franc (or "Bouchets," in the language of the Guinaudeau family) and 20% Merlot, the 2024 Les Perrières de Lafleur is a refined and pure wine that stands out despite the challenges of the vintage. It opens with a bouquet redolent of violet, cassis, fresh licorice and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and layered, the palate is chiseled and precise, supported by powdery tannins and lively acids and concluding with an ethereal, lingering finish."
