Chateau Lafleur - Les Perrieres 2024

Weinwisser: "erhabenes Bouquet, kleine rote Beeren, Nelken und Mineralik. Am straffen Gaumen mit seidiger Textur, engmaschigem Tanningerüst, geradlinigem Körper. Im konzentrierten, sehr langen Finale Wildkirsche, Estragon und edle Mineralik. Habe diesen Wein noch nie so gut degustiert."

Vinum: "Strahlender Duft, klar und rein wie ein Bergbach, Würze vom Bouchet; fokussiert und energetisch am Gaumen, zeigt sehr viel Leben, rotfruchtige Aromen dominieren, der Wein hat Vertikalität und Struktur, leichtfüssig, aromatisch sehr lang, endet auf Blutorangen. Hervorragend."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Races out of the glass with energetic scents of red currant jelly, Bing cherries, and red roses, leading to hints of pencil shavings and charcoal. The medium-bodied palate delivers a rock-solid backbone of super-fine-grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the red berry and floral layers, finishing very long and minerally. Gorgeous!"

James Suckling: "A fresh and slightly chalky wine with dried cherry, berry and lemon flavors. Medium body. Fine, integrated tannins. Pretty cantaloupe and orange flavors at the end."

Jane Anson: "Deep ruby colour, high floral aromatics, sinewy texture, salinity and grace. A touch of austerity, clear floral character here, iris, peony, chamomile tea, redcurrant, gunsmoke, a curl of grilled sage, this unfurls through the palate with grip on the finish, tension, chalk texture. Harvest 25 September to 3 October. Lafleur team working under Julie and Baptiste Guinaudeau."

Decanter: "Very floral and open, super expressive and vibrant. Red cherries, rose petals, iris, raspberries - clean and pure. Smooth and so silky but vibrant and electric too - great acidity here but with a strawberry edge so there’s juiciness as well as tension. Focussed, crystalline, and very harmonious. Floral still on the palate. It has a vibrant charm here, acidity still at the fore, but this is not severely tense or too tight. Not too extreme. This has a little bit of bounce and chew and weight. Structure and energy, texture silky, tannins absorb the acidity. Excellent. Brimming with life but pure and fun too."

Wine Advocate: "A blend of 80% Cabernet Franc (or "Bouchets," in the language of the Guinaudeau family) and 20% Merlot, the 2024 Les Perrières de Lafleur is a refined and pure wine that stands out despite the challenges of the vintage. It opens with a bouquet redolent of violet, cassis, fresh licorice and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and layered, the palate is chiseled and precise, supported by powdery tannins and lively acids and concluding with an ethereal, lingering finish."

Jeb Dunnuck: "More Cabernet Franc dominated, the 2024 Les Perrieres De Lafleur is 80% Cabernet Franc (or Bouchets, a specific massal selection) and 20% Merlot that's resting all in barrel. Coming from more limestone soils, it has beautiful red currants, chalky minerality, and white flowers on the nose. This carries to a medium-bodied 2024 that has medium-bodied richness, a juicy yet still tight, focused mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and outstanding length."

Falstaff: "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Zart nach Preiselbeeren, schwarze Kirschen, ein Hauch von Kräuterwürze, tabakige Nuancen, rosa Pfeffer. Schlank, frisch strukturiert, rote Kirschen, wirkt leichtfüßig und animierend, Ribisel im Abgang, bereits gut entwickelt."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Mint, flowers, raspberries, cherries, and plums produce the perfume. On the palate, there is freshness, energy, elegance, and charm in perfect balance. One of the highest uses of Franc in the blend, the wine is produced from 80% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Merlot. If you are a Cabernet Franc fan, grab this wine while it is hot as only 1,000 cases were produced. The harvest took place September 20-September 27. Drink from 2027-2040."
