Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Opens with spicy scents of Sichuan pepper and powdered cinnamon, leading to a core of raspberry pie and juicy blackberries, plus a waft of dusty soil. The light to medium-bodied palate is lightly chewy with a refreshing line and a savory finish."

James Suckling: "Plenty of juicy fruit, with dark chocolate, walnut, berry and fresh herb character. Medium-bodied, chewy and polished. Lots going on for the vintage."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Reife Feigen, ein Hauch von Dörrzwetschken, etwas Nougat, Spätlesetouch. Schlank, rotes Waldbeerkonfit, feine Säure, dezente Süße im Abgang, etwas weitmaschig, dafür charmant und zugänglich."
