James Suckling: "Good depth for the vintage. This almost tastes quite complete at this stage. Dark chocolate, dark cherries and berries. Fresh, firm tannins on the palate with medium body, juicy fruit and a nice length."

Vinum: "Tiefgründig, kühl, dezente Rauchnote, dunkle Kirschen, Brombeeren, Pflaumen, darüber florale Töne; eleganter Gaumen, kernig, dicht, zupackende, jedoch feine Tannine, sehr gute Säure, im Abgang von eindrücklicher Länge. Einmal mehr sehr ausgewogen und mit der gewohnten Eleganz."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Espresso, flowers, chocolate, cherries, and licorice create the aromatic profile. Medium-bodied, soft, round, and vibrant, there is lift, as well as deep red fruits in the mid-palate, and in the almost creamy finish. The wine is produced from blending 84% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2028-2040."

Jane Anson: "Grilled cedar and sandalwood oak is clear on the opening, along with touches of incense and rose petals, and there are some lovely deep raspberry and red cherry fruit notes, well balanced and sappy. No need to wait too long, good quality. A vintage where being present in the vineyard and making choices throughout was key, making François Despagne a winemaker to look towards."

Wine Advocate: "The 2024 Grand Corbin-Despagne is a strong effort, offering up aromas of sweet berries and new oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively palate with good depth and density."
