JAMES SUCKLING: "Quite fresh, showing lots of red cherries and berries with fine spices and minerals. Incisive on the palate, this has medium body and fine-grained tannins. Firm and structured but poised and pretty long. Good minerality. 69% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot, 5% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc."

WEINWISSER: "69 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 24 % Merlot 5 % Petit Verdot, 2 % Cabernet franc, Alkohol 12.9 vol%, pH 3.6, TPI 65. Duftiges Bouquet, verführerisches Irisparfüm, Sandelholz und roter Johannisbeernektar. Am kompakten Gaumen mit weicher Textur, fleischiger Extraktfülle, engmaschigem Tanningerüst und mittlerem Körper. Im gebündelten Finale verschlankt sich der Wein und endet mit Grafit, dunklem Tabak und mehliger Adstringenz."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Coming from 42 hectares of vines in Saint-Estèphe, the 2024 Château De Pez is 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc that will spend 18 months in 50% new oak. Classic Saint-Estèphe darker, purple fruits, graphite, gravelly earth, and scorched earth all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with ample mid-palate depth, ripe, nicely integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It's impeccably made and has to be considered a clear success in this challenging vintage. The 2024 hit 12.9% alcohol, 3.6 pH, and 65 IPT."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Tobacco leaves, black currants, citrus, a drop of espresso, and flowers open the nose. Round, fruity, soft, and vibrant, the spiciness in the sweet black currants, with its licorice accent comes through on the mid-palate, and in the finish. The wine blends 69% Cabernet 24% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. 12.9% ABV. Drink from 2027-2038."

VINUM: "Im Duft reichhaltig, würzig, rote Beeren, Kirschen, Kräuter, feuchter Stein; am Gaumen kernig, markante Gerbstoffe, sehr St-Estèphe, wild, fordernd, jedoch balanciert, mit würzigen und deutlich rotfruchtigen Aromen im Rückaroma. Nicht zu unterschätzen, darf etwas reifen."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach Zwetschken, ein Hauch von schwarzen Kirschen, feine Kräuterwürze, Orangenzesten sind unterlegt. Schlank, rotbeerig, frischer Säurebogen, ein Hauch von Kirschen im Nachhall, ausgewogener Speisenbegleiter."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Reserved, dark-fruit aroma. Layered fruit with fine, integrated tannins. Firm and long with generous fruit. Freshness as well. Good potential."
