THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Flowers, red currants, and a touch of spice pop in the nose. On the palate, the wine is forward, soft, and energetic. There is freshness in the fruits, which are juicy, crisp, and vibrant in the mid-palate, and in the finish. The is the second vintage from the team of Cos d'Estournel, and the first with Axel Marchal as their consultant. The wine blends 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. 12.6% ABV. Drink from 2027-2040."

ANSON: "Evident grilled cedar and campfire smoke on the nose, high spice, dark berry fruits, orange peel and earth. You can see certainly imagine that this is a far better wine that would have been made under the former regime, but it is still a far more rustic St Estèphe than the rest of the portfolio. Harvest 23 September to 8 October. 3.63 pH. 20% new oak. Second year of organic conversion, and second vintage under the new Cos d'Estournel team, headed up by Angélique Vigouroux."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.
