LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a bit of patient swirling to coax out notes of black cherries and blackberries with hints of licorice, cardamom, and iron ore. The light to medium-bodied palate is tightly wound with mineral-accented black and red berry flavors, framed by fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and earthy. Classic."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Flowers, cherries, and plums, along with smoke, licorice, and chocolate aromas, pop in the perfume. The palate continues with that theme, enhanced by its supple, round textures and layers of fruit, with a chocolate-mint, accented finish. The blend is 70% Merlot with 30% Cabernet Franc, 13.5% ABV 3.6 pH. Drink from 2028-2047."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The deepest hued of the trio from this family, the 2024 Clos L'Eglise is based on 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, brought up in a mix of new and used barrels. Darker currants, black cherries, roasted herbs, and damp earth all define this pure, graceful, impressive Pomerol. It's medium-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe, building tannins, and outstanding length. It's certainly the most structured of the lineup from the Garcin-Lévêque family and is a beautiful wine."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Quite brooding and dense for the vintage, showing rich mulberries, violet extract and dark fruit. A bit pulpy on the palate with extracted tannins. Full-bodied and chewy."
