JAMES SUCKLING: "Lovely young wine here with a pretty core of berry fruit and bark undertones. Medium body. Crisp, fine and lightly chewy tannins at the end. Quite seamless."

DECANTER: "Dark blackcurrants and black cherries on the nose. Smooth and succulent, juicy and really quite bright and focussed. Clean and pure, there’s good grip but lots of freshness and lift too. Tannins are still quite firm and edgy, but they do well to support the fruit and I like the chalkiness on the palate. A little subdued at this point but friendly and will be lovely to approach in a few years."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Tobacco, mint-leaf, cigar box, flowers, and red fruit aromatics open the perfume. Medium-bodied, soft, and silky, with a refined character from start to finish, this is quite nice, and will only improve with aging. Drink from 2027-2050."

WEINWISSER: "Opulenter Beginn, blaubeerige Konturen, betörende Veilchen und Schokopralinen. Am kompakten Gaumen mit engmaschigem Tanninkorsett und sehnigem Körper spröde werdend. Im gebündelten Finale verkapselt sich der Margaux und endet mit Kirschenhaut und einer vollen Ladung Graphit. Kann noch zulegen. "

JEB DUNNUCK: "An estate that's been on an upward trajectory over the past 5-10 years, the 2023 Château Marquis De Terme has some smoky black fruits, leafy herb, iron, and spring flower notes that give way to a more medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, balanced Margaux with ripe tannins and solid purity. It has considerable elegance and finesse and should require just a few years of bottle age."
