JAMES SUCKLING: "Pure old-vine merlot made a wine with tension and depth. It’s medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a savory finish. Plenty of black-olive and dark-fruit character. Juicy finish."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Dark black cherries, licorice, black plums, and chocolate are expressed in the nose. On the palate, the wine is round, lush, forward, and filled with dark, sweet fruits. Medium-bodied, vibrant, and ripe, give it a year or two and it will be great in your glass. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Merlot. Drink from 2026-2042."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "The 2019 Le Plus de la Fleur de Bouard is deep garnet-purple colored. It delivers expressive scents of cedar chest, redcurrant jelly, and blackberry preserves with wafts of fragrant earth and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firmly textured with the oak standing out slightly, supporting generous black fruits and finishing on a persistent spicy note. Give it 4-5 years in the cellar for the oak to marry and drink it over the next 12-14 years+."

VINUM: "In diesem Jahr mit deutlicher Herbe; rote Frucht, merklich Holz; straff am Gaumen, zeigt Trinkfluss und Frische, angenehm langer Abgang. Dürfte rasch Spass machen."
