Decanter: "I really enjoyed the open-knit, fruit-forward nature to this wine, with orange rind like freshness along with vivid ripe plum and cherry. While not among the longest finishes, when compared to some other Grands Cru Classés, it is a well-balanced wine with éclat, brightness. Bravo!"

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "La Tour Figeac 2023 is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of fresh boysenberries, black raspberries, and red plums jump from the glass, followed by hints of chargrill, dried sage, and tar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a firm backbone of rounded tannins and plenty of freshness to support the muscular black and red berry flavors, finishing with a savory lift. A property on the upward swing, this is an impressively crafted expression of the vintage. The blend is 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Spring flowers, cherries, plums, licorice, and a hint of espresso get the wine going. Medium-bodied, soft, silky, fresh, and creamy, the red fruits with their spicy accents express a nice sense of purity on the mid-palate, that carries through to the finish, where you also find a refreshing salty, licorice nuance. The wine blends 65% Merlot, with 35% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2027-2042."

James Suckling: "Very well made, with blackberry, blueberry and stone aromas that follow through to a medium-bodied, juicy palate. More precise than past vintages. 60% merlot and 40% cabernet franc."

Wine Advocate: "Crafted from vines rooted in the sandy, gravelly soils near Figeac and composed of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, the 2023 La Tour Figeac reveals aromas of licorice, dark wild berries, spices, smoke and fresh flowers. Medium to full-bodied, suave and enrobing, it’s seamless with velvety tannins, a fleshy core of fruit and a long, ethereal finish. Readers who love sensuality will love it."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, tiefer Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Reife schwarze Kirschen, florale Nuancen nach Hibiskus, frische Pflaumen. Mittlerer Körper, Brombeerkonfit, zart nach Nelken, runde Tannine, feines Nugat im Abgang, mineralischer Nachhall, bleibt haften, zeigt Entwicklungspotenzial."

Jeb Dunnuck: "Red and black fruits, loamy earth, leather, and savory herb notes all emerge from the 2023 Château La Tour Figeac, a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, elegant Saint-Émilion that has soft tannins and outstanding length. The blend is 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc from more sandy, gravelly soils, and it's going to shine with just 2-3 years of bottle age. This cuvée is never the biggest or richest in a vintage, yet I love its complexity as well as its overall balance. Tasted multiple times with consistent notes."
