JAMES SUCKLING: "The core of fruit in this is beautiful with seamless tannins that run the length of the wine and deliver a cylinder of refined fruit. Long at the finish. Better than 2022."

DECANTER: "Cool blueberry fruit with hints of crushed tobacco introduce a mouthful of wine, flattering and rich, but not without austerity on the finish as the tannins come off a bit tight. Overall, pretty good, with pleasing fruit ripeness and plum like richness marked by the majority of Merlot in the blend. I also like the overall tension on the palate, leading to a long finish, so it could get a higher score after it ages in 40% new oak."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Vibrant in nature, the wine is loaded with crisp, fresh, sweet, juicy, green apples, pomelo and touches of pineapple, and lemon rind. This is going to be quite nice to enjoy on release for all of its fruit, and vibrancy. Drink from 2025-2032."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Cassis, smoky oak, graphite, and ample spicy nuances all emerge from the 2023 Château La Louvière, a medium-bodied, focused, elegant, nicely concentrated Pessac-Léognan that has good mid-palate depth, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. Tasted twice."

FALSTAFF: „Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Kräuterwürze, schwarze Waldbeeren, etwas Brombeeren, tabakige Nuancen. Schlank, weitmaschig, dezente Tannine, frische Säure, zitronig-mineralischer Nachhall."
