The increased proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, necessitated by mildew on the Merlot, imparts a delicate and tense mid-palate characterized by powdery tannins. This blend, consisting of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, is a singularly well-executed wine at this address."
