Chateau Fonbadet 2023

JEB DUNNUCK: "Smoky black fruits, lead pencil, chocolate, and some gravelly earth notes all shine in the 2023 Château Fonbadet, a medium to full-bodied, concentrated Pauillac offering plenty of mid-palate density and depth, ripe tannins, and a great finish. This estate flies too far under the radar – they're making some brilliant wines today that merit attention."

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is very structured with currant and chocolate character, medium body and an excellent center-palate of fruit and tannins. Juicy at the end."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Mint, cedar, spicy currants, and blackberries pop with little effort in the perfume. The palate is vibrant, fresh, and chewy, with a complicating note of spearmint that shines in the mineral driven finish. Drink from 2026-2048."

FALSTAFF: „Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Edelholzwürze, etwas Vanille, schwarze Kirschen, ein Hauch von Cassis, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, rote Kirschen, straffe Tannine, mineralisch, anhaftend, wird von Flaschenreife profitieren."
