JEB DUNNUCK: "Rocking levels of cassis and darker berry fruits, spicy wood, graphite, spring flowers, and chocolate emerge from the 2023 Château Feytit-Clinet, a plump, full-bodied, broad, incredibly sexy 2023 that has sweet tannins and a great finish. It plays in the more ethereal, supple, juicy style of the vintage while still bringing plenty of depth, richness, and length. This tiny château, which is run by Jeremy Chasseuil, continues to fashion brilliant wines that represent incredible values, and it deserves more attention in the market today."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Very pretty and classy with berry, chocolate and hazelnut character. Medium body. Creamy, round tannins lead to a lightly crunchy and attractive finish."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "The nose delivers its blend of flowers, spice, smoke, mint leaves, and red fruits along with wet earth in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is creamy, fresh, long, and chewy, finishing with spicy, ripe red cherries, plums, and chocolate, with a silky, refined, racy edge. The wine blends 90% Merlot, with 10% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2026-2050."

VINUM: "Expressiv, mit viel dunkler Frucht, rauchige Noten, Kräuter, Kirschen, Schwarztee; weicher Gaumen, seidiges Tannin, geschliffen, leichtfüssig, dennoch mit Druck, schöne Länge, viel Harmonie."

DECANTER: "Making the most of the cooler clay soils of this vineyard for the majority Merlots (albeit also with warmer sand and gravel) this wine is excitingly savoury with plenty of juicy damson on the mid palate, albeit with some hard, unresolved tannins on the medium finish. There is some oak derived toast but complementing the fruit. And barrel ageing should soften the wine, to revisit once bottled."

WEINWISSER: "Intensives würzig-schwarzbeeriges Bouquet, Sandelholz, Schokopastillen, dominikanischer Tabak, dahinter Schlehensaft und Grethers Pastillen. Am satten Gaumen mit cremiger Textur, sehr dicht, engmaschiges Tanningerüst und ein durchtrainierter Körper. Im konzentrierten langen Finale Wildkirsche, Estragon, frisch gemahlener schwarzer Pfeffer und mehlige Adstringenz."

FALSTAFF: „Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Etwas zurückhaltend, rote Kirschen, frische Zwetschken, ein Hauch von Orangenzesten. Mittlere Komplexität, reife Zwetschken und Herzkirschen, runde Tannine, dezente Süße, etwas Nugat, bereits entwickelt und zugänglich."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Feytit-Clinet needs a fair bit of shaking to wake up scents of crushed plums, black raspberries, and wild strawberries plus nuances of cedar and bay leaf with a hint of iron ore. The medium-bodied palate delivers a firm, chewy texture and just enough fresh fruit, finishing earthy."
