Decanter: "A superlative wine combining vivid opulence marked by the ripe Sémillons and verve from the Sauvignon Blanc, with beeswax, acacia, spring meadow freshness and a combination of white stone fruit and lemon rind. The palate showcases more exotic notes like quince, passion fruit and pineapple, but overall there is a sense of structure and depth. The ageing - in 30% new oak - will only broaden this already excellent wine, and likely lead to a higher score."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "White peach, vanilla, lemon curd, spice, and pineapple aromas are all over the place. On the palate, the wine is zesty, spicy, crisp, and racy, with a juicy, yellow citrus finish that leaves you with a hint of spice, and marzipan on the backend. The wine is a blend of 59% Sauvignon Blanc, with 41% Semillon. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2025-2032."

James Suckling: "Fresh and vibrant with good concentration of fruit. Notes of ripe lemon and crunchy pineapple. Medium-bodied with good volume and length."

Vinum: "Verhalten, steinig, Apfel, Zitrusfrüchte; dichter Gaumen, knackige Frucht, cremige Textur, sehr gute Säure, langes Finale. Kann reifen."

Wine Advocate: "Due to a mildew invasion affecting the red grapes, particularly the Merlots, Château Bouscaut produced only a white wine this year. The 2023 Bouscaut Blanc reveals a delicate, perfumed bouquet of confit citrus, white peach, lime tree leaves and spring flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless and generous palate with bright acids, a fleshy core of fruit and a long, mouthwatering finish. This is a blend of 41% Sémillon and 59% Sauvignon Blanc."

Jeb Dunnuck: "Based on 59% Sauvignon Blanc and 41% Semillon, the 2023 Château Bouscaut Blanc offers up an exotic, complex, medium-bodied style with plenty of character. The aromatics include some honeyed lemon and citrus notes as well as a kiss of spicy wood, and it has the more fruit-loaded style of the vintage, with plenty of acidity."
