James Suckling: "Beautiful and classy white with medium to full body and toned, lengthy acidity that gives it energy and tightness. Firm structure with stoney minerality. Pretty structure to this. Half sauvignon blanc and half semillon."

The palate is fresh, fruity, and loaded with sweet yellow citrus, a gentle touch of herbs, and licorice that enters at the end of the finish. The wine blends 55% Semillon with 45% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink from 2025-2031."

Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2022 Château Valandraud Virginie De Valandraud Blanc checks in as 55% Sémillon and 45% Sauvignon, I believe brought up in barrels (although not marked by wood in anyway). Ripe citrus, honeyed minerality, mint, lime, and floral notes flow to a medium-bodied, bright, racy, incredibly focused white that stays textured and balanced. The alcohol is 14.5%, so there's plenty of power here, but the pH is 3.25, so it has ample acidity as well."
