JEB DUNNUCK: "Rocking Merlot notes of ripe black cherries, currants, smoked tobacco, and melted chocolate all emerge from the 2022 Château Moulin Saint Georges, a ripe, full-bodied, opulent, seamless 2020 based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It has the density and structure of the vintage and will have 15-20 years of overall longevity."

DECANTER: "Milk chocolate and bramble berry fruits, smells quite sun kissed. Supple and nicely full in the mouth, tannins have a soft chew to them which gives texture and weight in the mouth and this feels like it has good persistence from start to finish. Acidity is on the high side but just about balances the ripe, concentrated fruit. You get the density from the clay here giving a more full palate, still with some tension and direction and slight mineral edges to the tannins. An enjoyable and very drinkable wine with freshness and a good dose of fruit concentration. Mineral tang on the finish, crushed stones and graphite elements give an appealing end, though it's also marked a little by a sense of alcohol. 3.72pH. Harvest 19-20 September for Merlot, 26 September for Cabernet Franc."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Moulin Saint-Georges has a deep garnet-purple color. It bursts with bombastic scents of juicy black plums, blueberry pie, and warm cassis, leading to touches of cedar chest, menthol, and lavender. Big, rich, and full-bodied in the mouth, the palate is completely coated with black and blue fruits, supported by firm, velvety tannins, finishing long and decadent. It will need some time to come round, but promises to be a blockbuster!"
