WEINWISSER: "75 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc, 5 % Cabernet Franc. Feingliedriges Bouquet, getrocknete Fliederblüten, heller Tabak und zarte schwarzbeerige Konturen. Am kompakten, straff ausgerichteten Gaumen mit körnigem Extrakt, gut stützender Rasse und trainiertem Körper. Im gebündelten Finale eine volle Ladung Graphit, Estragon und feinmürber Adstringenz, Potenzialwertung. 2029 – 2042."
JAMES SUCKLING: "Sea salt and grilled sea weed. Dark fruit, but so umami. Medium to full body with fine and chewy tannins. Crunchy."
DECANTER: "Focussed and so fine, the tannins are beautifully detailed and so well integrated giving this bite and cool freshness straight away with a crushed stone flavour and texture on the palate. Feels crisp and fresh, blue fruits, mint and slate. Delicate and very fine, almost weightless with such a silky overall texture. Maybe missing a tad more density and plushness but there’s no faulting the cool aspects and well worked tannins. A nice easy juicy expression, really very approachable still with terroir markers and a sense of charm now. I love this, smooth, easy, refined. Classy and elegant. Ageing in 50% new oak."
LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „A blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Montlandrie has a deep garnet-purple color. It comes bounding out with eager-to-please notes of wild blueberries, kirsch, and violets, leading to hints of wet slate, tilled soil, and mossy tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is generous and juicy with ripe, rounded tannins and bags of freshness, finishing with a spicy kick."
THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Flowers, truffles, black and blue fruit, cocoa and licorice open the nose. The medium-bodied palate is round, creamy and fresh, with supple, sweet, ripe fruits and a drizzle of chocolate in the mid-palate and finish. The wine blends 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% ABV, 3.85 pH. Harvesting took place September 8 - September 23. Drink from 2025-2038."
JEB DUNNUCK: "Based on 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Château Montlandrie has lots of ripe red and black fruits supported by notions of loamy soil, savory spices, and leafy herbs. It's concentrated, medium to full-bodied, has building yet beautiful tannins, and a great finish."
