LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2022 La Prade jumps from the glass with bold notions of juicy black plums and boysenberry preserves followed by wafts of cardamom, Sichuan pepper, and lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate has a plush texture and plenty of freshness supporting the generous fruit, finishing with a spicy kick. La Prade vineyard is in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, mainly on a limestone plateau with parts extending the hillsides. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc."
