Decanter: "Dark fragranced berries on the nose, fruity and savoury touches, smells expressive and open, lovely florality with dark chocolate aspects and summer red berries. Beautifully delivered, really a beguiling and charming wine with supple tannins, a really juicy but controlled density, softly plush with a powdery grip and overall really quite saline minerality. Delicate and so graceful on the palate, not at all rich or exuberant, but calm and refined with plenty of cool blue fruits and overall seriously refreshing aspects but also the most gorgeous floral tones that last the entire palate. Generous, but not shouting at all, still with power underneath. A beautiful expression of the vintage and terroir. No trace of heat. A yield of 32hl/ha. Earliest harvest ever picked, before was 3-4 September. Ageing in 85% new oak barrels. Harvest 3 - 9 September."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "This is a beautiful expression of flowers with plums, cherries, and cocoa. As nice as the nose is, it is on the palate, with its silky, creamy, layers of sweet, red, and black fruits that the wine shows its best. It is difficult to believe this is only a second wine, as it competes with many, much more expensive wines from the plateau. Enjoy this while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 85% Merlot with 15% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% ABV. Drink from 2025-2042."
