LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: ‚ÄěA blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2022 La Marzelle wafts out of the glass with scents of fragrant exotic spices and incense, followed by a core of blueberry compote and plum preserves, with a fragrant touch of violets. The big, rich, full-bodied palate is chock-full of layers of black fruit preserves, with a plush texture and peppery lift to the finish."
