DECANTER: "Juicy and clean, a lovely purity of fruit - blackcurrant, black cherry and creamy blueberries. Straight frame and sleek texture, tannins are slightly textured giving a soft, chalky grip to the palate, mouth coating tannins but gives a nice weight to the overall expression. Mouthwatering acidity keeps the freshness, overall this is quite a delicate, light style. Very easy drinking with some appealing herbal bramble fruit, salinity and soft dark chocolate touches. Really fresh, and grippy with a powdery dry touch to the finish. A yield of 47hl/ha. Tasted twice."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Very tight center palate here with currant, chocolate and hazelnut aromas and flavors. Medium body. Focused and bright."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Another impressive Graves is the 2022 Château La Louvière, which comes from vines near Léognan. This deep plum/purple-hued effort offers lots of cassis, plum, and chocolate nuances on the nose. These carry to a medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated 2022 with a layered, expansive mouthfeel. It's a gorgeous wine in the making."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Deeply colored, the wine is loaded with flowers, cherries, herbs, and forest leaves. Medium-bodied, creamy, soft, and polished, the fruits are silky, fresh, and long, with layers of dark cherries, black plums, licorice, herbs, and chalk in the finish. Drink from 2025-2042 ."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe. zarte Randaufhellung. Reife dunkle Herzkirschen, Nuancen von Pflaumen, frische Orangenzesten. Saftig, elegant, feine Fruchtsüße, angenehmer Säurebogen, mineralisch-salzig im Abgang, Röstaromen im Nachhall, vielseitiger Speisenbegleiter."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Revealing aromas of violet, sweet cherries, plums, menthol and dark berries, the 2022 La Louvière is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming with both a tense and fresh finish. Jacques Lurton has done an excellent job on this property. It's a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon."

VINUM: "Fruchtig mit mineralischer Spitze; besonders saftig und von grosser Rasse, Klassetannin, grosse, feurige Länge, hervorragend ausgezeichnet gelungen."
