2030 – 2055."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Elegant, floral, fresh, and loaded with sweet, ripe, plums, cherries, licorice, and cocoa, the wine is medium-boded, refined, vibrant and silky and while it can be enjoyed in its youth, it is only going to get better with age. Drink from 2025-2045."

DECANTER: "Plump and nicely weighted on the palate. Lovely fragrance and black fruit characters which are clean and pure and inviting. The tannins are almost chewy, powdery and gently fleshy, well integrated, coating the mouth with a crushed stone, liquorice freshness that is really appealing. You can feel the power underneath, clearly concentrated but delivered with precision and detail. A touch 'hot' and spiced on the finish, but there's lots to like here. Still a little compact and reserved but excellent ageing potential."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Darker plums, currants, iron, and leathery nuances, as well as plenty of background spicy oak, emerge from the 2022 Château Grand Mayne, a ripe, medium to full-bodied, straight-up sexy 2022 with sweet tannins and a great finish. Plush, hedonistic, and balanced are the key words here, and I'd be happy with bottles in the cellar. Tasted multiple times, this should easily be in the same ballpark quality-wise as the 2019 and 2020."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Feine Herzkirschen, reife Zwetschken, zart nach Orangenzesten. Saftig, elegant, feine Fruchtsüße, etwas Nugat, dezenter Säurebogen, bleibt haften, ein stoffiger Speisenwein mit Entwicklungspotenzial."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „The 2022 Grand Mayne is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of black cherries, blueberry pie, and sassafras slowly emerge from the glass, giving way to touches of garrigue, Sichuan pepper, and unsmoked cigars. The full-bodied palate delivers firm, rounded tannins and a lively backbone, jam packed with black fruit preserves flavors, finishing long and peppery."
