James Suckling: "Ripe black and blue fruit here with savory undertones. Medium to full body. Tannins are firm but crunchy and lively. Structured and long. Vibrant finish with floral undertones. Classy. From biodynamically grown grapes."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Initially you notice flowers, and crushed rocks before moving on to all the black raspberries, licorice, cherries, and background note of orange blossoms in the perfume. On the medium-bodied palate, the wine is soft, pure, and fresh, with a sweetness to the fruits, silkiness to the tannins and a touch of chocolate-mint, sea salt and espresso in the endnote. Made from a blend of 85% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% ABV, pH 3.7. The harvest took place September 12 - September 26. Yields were 35 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2026-2047."

Falstaff: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Rote Waldbeeren, frische Herzkirschen, florale Nuancen, zart nach Vanille, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, reife Waldbeerfrucht, feine Süße, dezenter Säurebogen, mineralischer Nachhall, salzig im Abgang, gutes Reifepotenzial, ein seidiger Speisenbegleiter."

Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2022 Château Fonplegade showed well both times I was able to taste it. Mulled cherries, cassis, chocolate, violets, and spicy notes all emerge on the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a ripe, mouth-filling texture, building yet ripe tannins, and outstanding length. The tannins will need to be watched here, but I suspect this will round in to form nicely over the course of its élevage, and it's clearly an outstanding Saint-Emilion in the making."
