JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2022 Château Couhins is incredibly impressive. Based on 54% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot, it has a darker, concentrated, focused style that's going to benefit from bottle age. Giving up lots of both red and black fruits, as well as some floral and violet hints, it has good mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and a great finish."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Frische rote Herzkirschen, zart nach Cassis und Nugat, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, frisch strukturiert, feine, tragende Tannine, mineralisch, zeigt Länge, gutes Reifepotenzial."

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is textured and polished with medium body and stony minerality. Fine tannins and a mineral finish. A little lean at the end."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "A blend of 54% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Couhins reveals aromas of cassis, lilac, iris, spring flowers and elegant hints of spices, typical of this cooler limestone terroir. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, ample and fleshy, with velvety tannins and a vibrant core of fruit, concluding with a long, fruity finish. This is an impressive effort from an estate to watch."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Spicy tobacco leaves, black currants, flowers, chocolate, and cherries show in the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, bright, fresh and spicy, with chewy tannins and a slight touch of cocoa in the finish. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. 14.5 ABV. 2022 marks the first vintage as being certified as 100% Organic. Drink from 2025-2037."
