LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „The 2022 Cos Labory is composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it features cheery notions of Morello cherries, wild blueberries, and freshly crushed blackcurrant, with hints of lavender, forest floor, and bay leaves. The full-bodied palate has impressive concentration and a rock-solid structure of firm, grainy tannins with bold freshness and a long, earthy finish. This is an impressive first showing by the new owner, Michel Reybier! pH 3.71.."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A juicy and fruity wine with attractive berries and light chocolate. Medium body. Firm tannins. Show finesse and complexity for the appellation."

DECANTER: "Lovely floral expression, violet and iris, blackcurrants and black cherries with plum tones too, but cool and fresh. Round and full, his has a lovely frame and structure, giving a ton of fruit density, with super plush, almost chewy, fine and firm and grippy tannins that are really quite enjoyable. Liquorice and dark chocolate. Lots of freshness and cool touches. Really holds the interest, strict, a touch severe and serious but still lots to like. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. 3.75 total acidity. 3.71pH. 88 IPT. Harvest 14 - 27 September. Tasted twice. The estate was bought by Château Cos d'Estournel as of late 2022."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Potentially the finest wine I've tasted from this 18-hectare château (which was sold to Michel Reybier in March of 2023), the 2022 Château Cos Labory has a perfumed, juicy, medium to full-bodied style carrying lots of darker, almost blue fruits as well as notes of violets, tobacco, and forest floor. It's balanced and has ripe, polished tannins and outstanding length."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "The dark fruits show nicely in the nose, and on the palate. Soft, and round in texture, with ripeness, freshness, and sweetness, the only issue here is too much new oak, as the wine seems dry in the finish. This the last vintage for the new owners. Starting in 2023, the team of Cos d'Estournel will take over the vineyard and production of the wine. The wine is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2040."

2029 – 2043."
