DECANTER: "Juicy and vibrant, a real strawberry and raspberry tang to the palate with grippy, chalky, soft liquorice, chocolate and spiced tannins. Smooth and enjoyable, nicely presented with such ease of drinking - you don't feel they have overdone things at all. A lovely effort with succulence, grip, salty minerality, clearly ripe fruit but still with an appealing structure and tension. Great stuff."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe. zarte Randaufhellung. Feines Nugat, schwarze Kirschen, ein Hauch von Pflaumen, mineralisch unterlegtes, attraktives Bukett. Straff, frische Kirschen, gute Frische, mineralisch und anhaftend, sicheres Reifepotenzial."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A fresh and juicy red with blackberry, black cherry, crushed stone and walnut aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Round and velvety tannins. Generous."

VINUM: "Zurückhaltende, viel versprechende Ausbaunoten; voller Ansatz, erstaunliche Mineralität, grosser Schliff der Tannine, langer, fruchtiger Ausklang ohne Alkoholspitze; hervorragend, der beste hier je verkostete Rote."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2022 Bouscaut rouge, a blend of 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec, offers up aromas of cassis, licorice, graphite and dark berries. It is concentrated and rich with a medium to full-bodied palate and a firm, typically Cabernet grip in the finish. This a great effort for this 55-hectare estate that's entering its second year of conversion to organic farming."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Bouscaut Rouge rocks up with ready-to-go notes of black cherry compote, warm cassis, and raspberry preserves, leading to wafts of fallen leaves and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and impressive tension, finishing with good length and purity."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Purplish crimson. Quite a dense, concentrated nose. Sweet palate entry. This wine tastes as though someone behind it was really trying. Quite dramatic. Lots of tannin but lots of fruit before it on the palate too. A good emissary of the vintage. Luscious at first, then dry thanks to the considerable tannic charge. Quite long already."
