Weinwisser: "70 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 14 % Merlot, 9 % Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot.

Decanter: "Lively, with a shot of almost sour fruit on initial impact, a real strawberry and red cherry tang with grippy tannins that are chewy and fleshy. It's well worked with body and structure delivering a consistency from start to the long finish. May not be the most vivacious at the moment but this has excellent clarity and positioning with no let up. A bolder style for the vintage with confidence, charm and precision on show."

Suckling: "A firm, medium-to full-bodied red with a compact core of lavender, blackcurrants, blackberries and cocoa. Firm and polished tannins. Very well structured for the vintage."

Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Saint-Pierre is very pretty, offering up aromas of plums, wild berries, sweet spice box, cigar wrapper and nicely integrated new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's a charming, fleshy wine with lively acids and fine length on the finish. It's a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and fully 7% Petit Verdot‚ÄĒthe latter having, in fact, been co-planted among Cabernet in some of the estate's older vine holdings, but only formally identified as such now."

Galloni: "The 2021 Saint-Pierre is very nicely done. It shows all of its typical signatures - dark fruit, brooding intensity and muscle - but with the intensity dialed down a bit, which I must say, is not a bad thing at all. Plum, lavender, crushed rocks, menthol and licorice are nicely pushed forward. With a bit less tannic clout than most vintages, I suspect the 2021 will also drink well with minimal cellaring. Tasted two times."

Dunnuck: "I loved the 2021 Ch√Ęteau Saint-Pierre, a medium-bodied, fresh, focused, yet still concentrated and textured Saint-Julien. Based on a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot representing a selection of 70% of the total production, it offers plenty of red and black fruits, notes of tobacco and crushed stone, terrific purity of fruit, and just a beautiful sense of elegance and finesse. The balance is spot on, and it's going to offer pleasure right out of the gate yet should also evolve gracefully."

Wine Cellar Insider: "Espresso, smoke, black cherry, currants, spice, flowers, and chocolate on the nose, as well as in the plush, round, fruit-filled palate. There is a nice touch of minty espresso in the finish that comes in on the backend. The wine blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2023-2045."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Pflaumenfrucht, ein Hauch von Brombeeren, feine Kr√§uterw√ľrze. Mittlerer K√∂rper, rotbeeriger Touch, feine, seidige Tannine, salziger Touch, frisch und lebendig, vielseitig einsetzbar."

Neal Martin: "The 2021 Saint-Pierre (Saint-Julien) is tighter and more controlled on the nose compared to the Gloria, which was picked one day later. It feels nicely focused, with a little more mineral tension. The palate is medium-bodied and a bit coarser than the Gloria. Quite dense, with fine grip, driven along by the Cabernet Sauvignon, and fine tannins. Over three samples, it just narrows a little toward the finish, which is missing a bit of heft. Nevertheless, a commendable and classic Saint-Pierre."
