Am geradlinigen Gaumen mit weicher Textur, stützender Rasse, salzigem Extrakt und trainiertem Körper. Im gebündelten Finale frisch gepflückte Schattenmorelle, Tabakblatt und fein pfeffrige Adstringenz. Dieser männliche Moulis kann noch zulegen und gehört regelmäßig zu unseren Best-Buys."

James Suckling: "A fresh and focused 2021 with fine tannins that are pretty in the center-palate. Medium body, firm tannins and a racy finish. Pretty wine."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Kräuterwürze, nach feinem Cassis, Heidelbeeren und Pflaumen, Nuancen von Edelholz. Saftig, rotbeerig und frisch, feine Tannine, ein lebendiger Speisenbegleiter für den Alltag, verfügt über Entwicklungspotenzial."

Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Poujeaux is a strong effort, opening in the glass with aromas of dark berries and plums mingled with notions of pencil shavings, violets and loamy soil. Medium-bodied, elegant and seamless, it's a pretty middleweight, framed by lively acids and powdery, melting tannins."

Decanter: "Concentrated blackcurrant nose. Ripe and juicy, this feels softly plump with a plush mouthfeel and satisfying weight to the tannic structure. It has elements of cool blue fruits, liquorice and clove that give a spiced hit on the tongue. Bitter dark chocolate and green peppercorn finish gives it the slightest bit of rusticity. A fine expression, unfussy and easy to like. Shows good promise. Will be interesting to taste in bottle. Tasted twice. 3.75pH. A yield of 40hl/ha."
