Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2021 Château Pape Clément Blanc is certainly in the running for the white of the vintage. Based on 70% Sauvignon and 30% Semillon brought up in just 18% new oak, it has bright, racy acidity that's beautifully balanced by a rock-solid core of fruit and mid-palate density. Giving up notes of pineapple, tart peach, white chocolate, and ample minerality, it will warrant 2-4 years of bottle age, but it's impressive anyway you look at it."

Weinwisser: "72 % Sauvignon Blanc, 22 % Sémillon, 5 % Sauvignon Gris und 1 % Muscadelle. Betörend reifes Bouquet, Golden Delicious, Bitterorange und weiße Blüten. Am geradlinigen Gaumen mit nerviger Rasse, sehr strukturiert mit edlem mineralischem Kern. Im gebündelt fein aromatischen Finale Grapefruit-Zesten, Nektarine und edles salziges Extrakt. Gehört in seiner Klasse zu den Besten."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Pumpkin spice, flowers, tart green apples, lemon meringue, white peach, and a touch of pineapple create the nose. Fresh, bright, creamy, lush and packed with sweet, racy, yellow citrus with just a dab of honey, the wine is perfectly poised between its crispness and opulent sides. Picking took place September 8-September 23. Drink from 2023-2035."

Decanter: "Excellent clarity and precision, you can feel this has been well worked with a vibrancy and tension running through the apple, apricot and fleshy peach fruit with some creamy patisserie edges. I love the lick of sherbet that lingers on the tongue and the persisting zestines. Fully flavoured and confident with some lemon drop and crushed stone salty minerality on the finish. A blend of 72% Sauvignon Blanc, 22% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 1% Muscadelle."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "The 2021 Pape Clement blanc is made from 97% Sauvignon Blanc and 3% Semillon. Vibrant notions of white peaches, fresh pineapple, and pink grapefruit jump from the nose with hints of sea spray, honeysuckle, and dill seed. Light-bodied, the palate has wonderful tension and loads of tightly wound citrus and tropical layers, finishing long and minerally."

Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Pape Clément Blanc shows the tension and cut that this vintage could bring to dry white Bordeaux. Exhibiting aromas of gooseberries, nectarine, confit citrus and pastry cream, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive, with a textural attack and a bright, saline finish. It's a blend of 72% Sauvignon Blanc, only 22% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 1% Muscadelle."
