JAMES SUCKLING: "A firm and linear wine with very focused, fine tannins. Medium body. Juicy and pretty. Classy."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Schwarze Kirschen, feine Kräuterwürze, zarter Edelholztouch, einladendes Bukett. Mittelgewichtig, saftig, seidige Textur, feine Tannine, mineralisch und frisch, salzig-zitronig im Abgang, eleganter Begleiter bei Tisch."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Black plums, black cherries, black licorice, dark chocolate and equally dark espresso beans are in full-force in the nose and on the round, lusciously-textured, deep palate. The finish is soft, round and plush. Drink from 2024-2040."

DECANTER: "Bramble tones to the red and black fruits, a touch of vanilla, dark chocolate and violets. Tannins make themselves known straight away, filling the mouth with a chalky, velvety texture with the bright black cherry and blackcurrant fruit on top. Inviting texture and frame, with a chewiness that fills the mouth alongside touches of liquorice and graphite. It's a dark style and a bit more knitted down at this point, just missing out on some energy that would really lift it, but a real success for a 100% Merlot in 2021. Lots of promise."
