THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Impressively rich and concentrated for a second wine in this vintage, the 2021 Les Pagodes de Cos delivers notes of raspberries, spiced plums and violets, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and salted palate framed by ripe tannins and lively acids."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Medium-bodied, fresh, vibrant, soft, and sweet, the wine is focused on ist core of spiced red fruits with ist hints of cigar box and savory notes on the nose, palate, and dark red pit fruit-filled, round, polished finish. The wine blends 60% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2023-2038."

DECANTER: "Cocoa-dusted blackberries and strawberries, you get that deep core, the baked fruit with aromatic touches - more herbal than the grand vin. Quite high-toned, verging on sharp with a real brightness and vivacity to the red cherry and strawberry fruit. Smooth and direct, with mouthwatering acidity to the fore. You salivate such a lot here - and then get the wet stone mineral notes cleansing the palate. Pierre Graffeuille replaces Hervé Berland, having arrived in March and taking over fully in October. 3% Cabernet Franc completes the blend."
