Vinum: "Superbe, komplexe, mineralische Aromatik; verblüffend vollmundig schon im Ansatz, entwickelt schiere Dichte und Tiefe bei grosser Rasse und Länge; verblüffend, gehört zu den Top buys des Jahres."

Decanter: "Dark bramble fruit aromas with notes of Turkish delight, floral and scented that continues on the palate, really fragrant. Nicely spirited, this has a lovely lift initially giving strawberry, red cherry, damson and raspberry leaf with fine tannins that have a chalky grip to them. I like the styling here, feels fresh, cool, easy to enjoy, easy to recommend. Quite complete. "

Robinson: "Cask sample. Has some earthy notes, cigar box and damp earth. Wonderfully textured wine with good weight and fruit for the vintage. Layered and with excellent freshness, well-judged oaking and shows excellent promise. (AC)"

Dunnuck: "A balanced, medium-bodied, impressive Saint-Emilion, the 2021 Château Laroze has lots of red fruits, spice, and hints of chocolate on both the nose and palate. The acidity is elevated, yet it has good purity, plenty of mid-palate depth, and ripe tannins, all pointing to a possibly outstanding 2021 that will drink nicely with just a few years of bottle age."

Neal Martin: "The 2021 Laroze has a well-defined bouquet with black cherry, boysenberry and cedar scents. The oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity, taut and fresh with fine grip on the finish. Certainly one of the better Saint-Émilions this year."

Suckling: "A medium-bodied wine with cherry, currant and some floral undertones. Orange peel, too. Medium fine tannins."
