Weinwisser: "80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 13.4 Vol.-%, 35 hl/ha. Verführerisches rotbeeriges Bouquet, Waldhimbeere und Preiselbeersaft, dahinter betörende Veilchen und Lakritze. Am sehr eleganten Gaumen mit weicher Textur, fein körnigem Extrakt, stützender Rasse, engmaschigem durchtrainiertem Körper. Im gebündelten aromatischen Finale frisch gepflückte Schattenmorelle und Graphit. Auf demselben Niveau wie in den letzten drei Jahren!"

Decanter: "Gorgeous deep perfumed nose, full of ripe red and black fruits, a lovely cranberry tang. Enticingly high acidity here, really so bright on the initial impact settling to reveal a chalky redcurrant, blackberry and plum centre with such fine and integrated tannins. Smooth and sleek, this has a gently round body with a delicate and easy-drinking appeal and soft florality that I love. Super-fresh and vibrant, the acidity is so perfectly judged with the bramble fruits and lifted, cooling, minty finish. A beautiful glass of wine. Could easily drink this soon. Succulent and supple, this is refined and just easy to like."

Wine Cellar Insider: "Silky, soft and fresh, with a gorgeous polish to the dark red fruits which are made even more interesting by all of its floral accents. There is sweetness to the fruit, soft, silky tannins and freshness in the finish. I like the spicy, cocoa note that comes through on the backend. Drink from 2023-2038."

Suckling: "A firm and rather creamy wine with black cherries. Medium body. Bright acidity. Crunchy and delicious finish."

Dunnuck: "An 80/20 split of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Château La Serre offers a beautiful array of cassis and black cherry fruits as well as some subtle background and lead pencil notes. Another medium-bodied, pure, downright pretty, seamless Right Bank effort, it's going to shine right out of the gate as well."

Wine Advocate: "A strong effort that punches above ist weight this year, the 2021 La Serre exhibits aromas of sweet berries, rose petals and smoke, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and satiny palate. Seamless and melting, it concludes with a saline finish. It derives from a small, four-hectare vineyard located on Saint-Émilion's limestone plateau (near Château Trotteveille) that has recently undergone extensive replanting. Tasted twice."
