Beeindruckende Leistung!"

DECANTER: "Dark chocolate, liquorice and blackcurrants on the nose, smells aromatic and appealing with perfumed floral touches too. Smooth and round, it has a lovely delicacy to it, the bright strawberry and raspberry fruit given a savoury and mineral feel from crushed stones, pencil lead and creamy chalk. Lightly framed in terms of texture, the tannins fine and velvety, just gripping the tongue with a crushed stone element with a pulse of energy running through from start to finish. This is playful, easy to enjoy yet also has a serous dark liquorice tone with excellent precision of fruit. Hard not to like with the terroir on show. A very good example this year! I love it!!"

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Earthy, plums licorice, flowers and a touch of cocoa on the nose creates the enticing bouquet. The freshness in the bright red fruits shines in the soft, silky, vibrant, medium-bodied, savory-edged, coffee bean tinted palate. Drink from 2023-2045."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2021 Grand Mayne is a success, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cherries, blackberries, sweet soil tones and creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, lively and supple, with a fleshy core of fruit, ripe tannins and succulent acids, it represents a strong performance. Tasted three times."
