Im gebündelten Finale schwarzbeerige Konturen, Wachsnoten und dunkles Graphit, kann noch zulegen."

DECANTER: "Some blueberries, pomegranate and black cherry aromas on the nose, with hints of vanilla alongside some beautiful perfumed notes. Succulent and mouthfilling with a bright juiciness that hits the tongue and sides of the mouth. The fruit is a little high-toned, with some spiked edges from the wood spice - toast and clove. Really quite tightly knitted at the moment, such tension - you can feel the Pomerol glamour with the intensity of flavour and aroma but it's direct at the moment with lashings of austerity from the acidity and mineral tones at the end. Structured and characterful - one to watch with lots of promise. First vintage 2012, then new plots were added 2014 to total 1.2ha with vines near Clinet on on the plateau near La Fleur-Pétrus and one between Le Pin and Trotanoy. Less than 2,000 bottles produced in 2021, down by almost two-thirds."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Nuancen von schwarzer Trüffel, reife dunkle Kirschen, frische Zwetschken, feine Edelholzwürze, ein Hauch von Feigen und Nougat. Mineralisch, straff, reife Herzkirschen, gut integrierte Tannine, zitronig und frisch, zeigt bereits gute Balance, ein lebendiger Speisenbegleiter mit Entwicklungspotenzial."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Flowers, black raspberries, plums, and hints of truffle and cocoa are easy to find in the nose. On the palate, the wine is silky, polished and fresh with a cherry-filled, cocoa-dusted, mid-palate and refined, delicate finish. The production is quite small with about 175 cases produced this year. The wine is made from 100% Merlot, 13.2% ABV. Drink from 2023-2042."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Production of the 2021 Enclos Tourmaline is down by around two-thirds this year, but the wine shows potential, exhibiting aromas of plums, cherries, licorice and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied and fleshy palate with powdery structuring tannins and a lively spine of acidity. From vines in the Clinet sector, this is more serious than the charming, demonstrative La Patache. Tasted twice."
