Galloni: "The 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey is a riveting Sauternes. Orange confit, lemon peel, white flowers, tangerine oil and mint soar across the palate. Exotic and floral overtones develop later, adding to the wine's sheer allure. Even with all of its plushness, the 2021 remains light on its feet. An explosion of heady aromas and flavors punctuates the dazzling finish. Sadly, brutal conditions wiped out most of the crop. Yields were a miserly 6-7 hectoliters per hectare."

Suckling: "This is dense and intense with salted caramel, spice, white pepper and dried caramel. Full-bodied and medium-sweet with a long, flavorful finish. Very spicy at the end."

Decanter: "Clementines and lemon zest on the nose, such unctuousness straight away, you feel the texture and the richness here, a surprising feat in 2021. It's not so electric on the palate, a little more sombre in terms of acidity but it makes it up in the richness of the flavours and the smoothness of the texture - honey, caramel, toffee cinder, sherbet lemon and creamy apricot. Has a striking charm to it despite being quite an opulent style."

Dunnuck: "Another beautiful Sauternes is the 2021 Clos Haut Peyraguey, which is based on 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. It has full-bodied richness and depth as well as bright acidity, a clean, elegant mouthfeel, terrific overall balance, and a great nose of honeyed oranges, peach, mint, and honeyed flowers. Concentrated, vibrant, and balanced, it's a beauty in the making."

Neal Martin: "The 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey was picked in four tries through the vineyard,
October 1–28. It has a pure, fragrant bouquet of lovely wild honey, acacia and
yellow flower scents. The palate is well balanced with a viscous texture
counterbalanced by acidity. Not the most complex Sauternes on the block, but
persistent and pleasantly spiced on the finish. Drink over the next 15–20 years."

Robinson: "Refined with a flatteringly smooth texture. A wine that tastes like one of those carefully constructed Louis XV tearooms contrived for Ladurée macaroons (sorry about this artful, and possibly unhelpful, simile). Very neat and contained and really rather beautiful, in a sweetly preserved way. Tight and super-controlled. Drink 2025 - 2050."
