JAMES SUCKLING: "Such beautiful tannins here that are refined and beautiful and bring you deep into the medium to full body. Currants and berries. Refined."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Süßes Bukett, reife Waldbeeren und Kirschen, feine Gewürznuancen, kandierte Orangenzesten. Komplex, saftig und frisch, feiner Schokotouch, mineralisch und anhaftend, gute Länge, sicheres Entwicklungspotenzial."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Flowers, blackberries, currants, espresso, and plums with a touch of cocoa form the nose. On the palate, the wine is loaded with lusciously-textured, ripe, polished fruits. There is a solid depth of flavor, good energy, and layers of black and red fruits on the mid-palate and in the creamy, fruit-packed finish. Drink from 2027-2055."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „The 2022 Prieure-Lichine is deep garnet-purple in color. It tumbles out with eager-to-please scents of juicy blackcurrant, Morello cherries, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cedar, violets, and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is densely packed with juicy black fruit and floral accents, supported by beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and a refreshing backbone, finishing long and fragrant. This is a very impressive showing for Prieure-Lichine."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Offering up generous amounts of sweet berries, orange rind and licorice, the 2022 Prieuré-Lichine is medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a lively core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish. This heavily morcellated estate (amounting to some 125 different parcels) continues to benefit from a more rigorous selection and better attention to detail regarding harvest dates."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2022 Château Prieuré-Lichine offers a pure, vibrant bouquet of red and blue fruits as well as plenty of cedarwood, tobacco, and a hint of iron. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with nicely integrated tannins as well as outstanding overall balance, this well-made, impeccably balanced Margaux will drink nicely with just short-term cellaring. It's easily in the same ballpark quality-wise as the 2018, 2019, and 2020, all of which are beautiful wines. Tasted twice."
