THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Black cherries, licorice, espresso, dark chocolate, and flowers open the wine in the nose. On the palate, the wine has depth of flavor, richness, elegance, and vibrancy. There is a chalky edge to all the ripe, fresh fruits in the finish. 2022 was the last vintage for the owner, Denis Barraud who passed away after the wine was made. He will be missed. His 2022 will be a tribute to him. Drink from 2026-2042."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Lots of blackberry character with some licorice and hazelnut undertones. Full and flavorful. Polished tannins. Chewy."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2022 Lynsolence showed well, with a modern vibe in its spicy oak, red and black fruits, and flowery incense-like aromas and flavors. This medium to full-bodied, concentrated, textured Saint-Emilion has ripe tannins and plenty of mid-palate depth."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach Dörrzwetschken und Feigen, dunkles Nugat, Kräuterwürze. Mittlere Komplexität, etwas »verbrannte« Kräuter im Kern, zarte Adstringenz im Abgang, rotbeerig, Gerbstoff im Nachhall, in dieser Phase ohne Balance."
