JAMES SUCKLING: "A beautiful and transparent La Vieille Cure with ultra-fine tannins and bright acidity. Balanced and vivid. Medium body. Really well done here."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Schokoladig unterlegte reife Kirschfrucht, reife Pflaumen, zart nach Lakritze, kandierte Orangenzesten. Stoffig, kraftvoll, elegant, süßer Schokotouch, bereits zugänglich, verfügt über gute Länge und Entwicklungspotenzial."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „A blend of 78% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, La Vieille Cure 2022 has a pH of 3.45 and a deep purple-black color. The nose is so fruity with vibrant scents of fresh blueberries and blackberry pie, followed by hints of Indian spices, menthol, and crushed rocks. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and juicy, with ripe, rounded tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and spicy."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Lush, dark, polished, fruits, cocoa, chocolate, espresso and plums are ripe, sweet, creamy, long, fresh and a pleasure to taste. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release and for another 12 or more years after that. Drink from 2025-2038."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Always a smoking good bottle of wine, the 2022 Château La Vieille Cure sports a deep purple hue as well as terrific aromatics of ripe red and black fruits, leafy herbs, chocolate, and crushed stone. With full-bodied richness, a lush, layered, seamless mouthfeel, and ripe tannins, it's going to way over-deliver and should have 10-12 years, if not longer, of prime drinking."
