2028 – 2045."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Coming from a 7-hectare vineyard located on the upper limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, the 2022 Château La Serre reveals a dense purple/plum color as well as gorgeous aromatics of black raspberries, cassis, graphite, chalky minerality, spring flowers, and spice. Wonderfully textured, medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and yet also elegant, it's a more lively, vibrant style from this estate that still shows plenty of classic La Serre richness and depth."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Reife Kirschen, ein Hauch von Pflaumen, feine Waldbeernuancen, kandierte Orangenzesten. Saftig, rund und elegant, ein Hauch von Schokolade, dezenter Säurebogen, harmonisch, wirkt bereits gut antrinkbar, ein veilseitiger Speisenwein."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A juicy and chewy red with crushed stone and hints of chalkboard with black fruits and nutmeg spice. Medium to full body. Structured finish. Very well done here."

DECANTER: "Juicy and easy, this is well balanced and round with lovely purity of red berry fruit with crispness and definition to the tannins but still giving a roundness to the structure. Calm and controlled, bright acidity, good push from start to finish and licks of liquorice and slate giving the mineral nuance on the finish. A little shy still, but well presented."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Rich, deep, long, and creamy, the wine is all about its layers of deep, dark, lush fruits on the palate and in the finish. Drink from 2025-2042."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: „A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 La Serre is deep garnet-purple in color. It charges out with bold expressions of raspberry pie, juicy black plums, and Morello cherries, leading to wafts of cinnamon toast and charcoal. The medium to full-bodied palate is plush and juicy, with well-balanced acidity providing freshness on the finish."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2022 La Serre is a notable success, offering up aromas of wild berries, cherries and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and suave palate that's deep, seamless and sensual, with a bright core of fruit and a long, mineral finish. This seven-hectare estate, situated on the shallow soils of the limestone plateau next to La Clotte and Villemaurine on the one side and Trotte Vieille and Troplong Mondot on the other, is planted at 7,200 vines per hectare, with some 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. With this vintage, La Serre takes an appreciable step up in quality."
