THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2021 Haut-Marbuzet shows considerable promise, exhibiting aromas of sweet blackberries, plums and cherries mingled with notions of loamy soil and spicy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a supple, sumptuous profile, it's a terrific performance for this Saint-Estèphe estate."

WEINWISSER: "55 % Merlot, 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 % Cabernet Franc, 1 % Petit Verdot, 45 hl/ha, 13 Vol.-%, IPT 80.

DECANTER: "Minty bramble bushes on the nose, with liquorice touches. I like the dark, sweetly sticky style with chewy tannins although they do have a cool blue fruit and graphite edge which brings freshness and minerality to the fore. Feels sleek and suave with succulence and grip to the plush but finessed fruit. 5% Petit Verdot completes the blend."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart floral unterlegte Kirschenfrucht, rotbeerige Nuancen, mineralischer Touch.

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Round, polished, fruity, and forward, the soft, smoky, dark red fruits with their espresso tinted accent are going to be easy to enjoy on release and over the next decade or so. Drink from 2023-2034."
