JEB DUNNUCK: "An incredible achievement from this team, the 2021 Château Monbousquet comes from the lower plain, which was devastated due to frost and mildew, yet they've nevertheless brought more fruit and texture than those with the best terroirs in the appellation. Dark fruits, cassis, chocolate, and spice all give way to a medium to full-bodied, round, opulent beauty with solid tannins and a great finish. It's a gorgeous wine in the making."

WEINWISSER: "70 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Franc, 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 18.55 hl/ha. Verspieltes Bouquet mit betörenden Veilchen- und Fliedernoten, Brombeerkonfitüre und Lakritze. Am satten Gaumen mit weicher Textur, engmaschigem Tanningerüst, stützender Rasse und engmaschigem Körper. Im konzentrierten Finale blaue Beeren, Wacholder und rote Johannisbeerdrops, endet mit zarter Adstringenz."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A good amount of blackberry and black olive with a medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Balanced and rather delicate."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Fresh, juicy and sweet, with accents of flowers, black cherry, plum, creamy coffee and leafy herbs. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, forward and fruity, with a bit of dust in the tannins and in the chewy fruit finish. Close to 50% of the crop was lost to the frost. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.67% ABV. Drink from 2023-2037."
