 Das imposante Anwesen von Chateau La Dauphine wurde zwischen 1744 und 1750 von einem Pariser Anwalt erbaut. Die Dauphine von Frankreich, Maria Josepha von Sachsen, verweilte einige Tage auf dem Schloss, damit stieg der Wert der Immobilie enorm und wurde 1985 an die bekannte Winzer-Familie Moeuix in Libourne verkauft. Zu deren Portfolio gehören einige hochklassifizierten Chateaus in Pomerol, Saint Emilion sowie im Napa Valley. Im Jahr 2000 wurde das Chateau La Dauphine verkauft. Seit 2015 ist das Weingut im Besitz der Familie Labrune, Eigentümer und Gründerin eines Technologie- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen. Das Ziel der Familie ist die Herstellung hochwertiger, biodynamischer Weine. Auf 40 Hektar Weingärten wird hauptsächlich Merlot angebaut. Der bekannte Vinologe Michel Rolland steht der Verwaltung beratend zur Seite.
17+ WEINWISSER: "Dichtes Purpurrot, satt in der Mitte. Opulentes Bouquet nach reifen Pflaumen, Amarenakompott und Brombeersaft. Am molligen Gaumen mit engmaschigem Körper und fein nerviger Rasse, mürber Extrakt. Im aromatischen Finale Kirschhäute, Süssholz und Schlehenextrakt. Da wurde wirklich ans Maximum gegangen, aber es hat funktioniert. Kann noch zulegen."

90-92 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Deep in color, with flowers and chocolate, along with round, silky textures and a blast of rich, ripe dark red fruits, licorice, earth and spice. The wine meshes fruits, supple textures, espresso, cocoa and a fruity, fresh, silky finish. Drink it young, or age it for a few years."
