JAMES SUCKLING: "This is structured and focused, with firm tannins and a polished texture. Seamless and long with medium to full body. Deep and layered on the palate, building to a rather muscular finish. Big at the end. Almost rustic in style. 100% merlot."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Ein Hauch von Orangenzesten, reife Kirschen, etwas Nugat, schwarze Waldbeeren, einladendes Bukett. saftig, elegant, feine Kirschfrucht, seidige Tannine, gute Frische, balanciert und anhaftend, ein stoffiger Speisenwein mit gutem Reifepotenzial."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Jean-Pierre Moueix's "fermage" of this estate began in 1962, and his eponymous firm has only just acquired ownership of the vineyards to produce the 2023 Latour à Pomerol, which gives one a sense of how long it can take to acquire land in Pomerol! Offering up aromas of minty cherries, cassis, rose petals and petroleum jelly, the wine is medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a generous core of sun-kissed fruit, sweet, powdery tannins and a broad, penetrating finish."
