* 18 WEINWISSER: "Extrem dunkles Purpur mit lila und violetten Reflexen. Intensives Maulbeer- und Cassisbouquet, schwarze Hölzer, Szechuanpfefferkörner, Lakritze, sehr tief. Im Gaumen voluminös, die massiven Tannine wirken schon recht rund, extrem konzentriert im langen Finale. Wieder eine Sonderleistung aus dem nördlichsten Médoc. 2016–2028"
* 87-90 Punkte WINESPECTATOR: "A very fruity Medoc, verging on jam, with raspberry and currant. Full-bodied and straightforward, with soft tannins. Shows lots of wood, but this is interesting."
* 16 Punkte (***) DECANTER: "Dense colour, big smoky cassis nose, lots of new oak and tannins, extracted modern style but should turn out well. Drink 2013-18."
* QUARIN: "Black and purple color. Lovely nose with astonishing scents: intense, fine, fruity, it smells of rose, Muscat and black fruit. Creamy entry in the mouth. The wine develops moderately aromatic, with taste, a smooth feel in the mouth. Full, rich, supple. It finishes long on tannins that are ripe but a bit harsh. Very good length. Definitely a wine for long keeping." |
