|18 RENÈ GABRIEL´S BX TOTAL: "(50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot) Elegantes, feinherbes Bouquet, schwarze Kirschen, Brombeeren, Pflaumen, Edelhölzer, Korinthen. Ausgewogener, dichtverwobener, eleganter Gaumen mit feiner, süsser Frucht, gutem Tannin, kräftiger Aromatik, dichter Struktur, langer, frischer Abgang. 18/20 2024 - 2040" - A.Kunz.
92-93 JAMES SUCKLING: "Dense and beautiful red with blackberry, chocolate and spice undertones. Full-bodied, firm and silky."
91-93 THE WINEADVOCATE: "The 2016 Branas Grand Poujeaux has a well-defined and quite generous bouquet with cedar tinged black fruit that unfolds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive fruit concentration with tar and smoke towards the persistent finish. This can often be one of the top Moulis and this year is no exception; it is classic Left Bank Bordeaux that will give long-term pleasure."
91-93 WINE ENTHUSIAST: "91–93. Barrel Sample. Dense tannins give this wine its concentrated character. The fruit weight is still developing and beginning to show its power. It is a massive wine that will need many years; try after 2027."
90 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "With good color, it´s easy to find the cassis, licorice, smoke, and cherries here. The wine has a softness to the tannins and sweet fruit in the finish."
